In this day and age, its hard to make this a memorable comedy, where time and time again, the same jokes are recycled. Comedy that never before has this self-aware of what it is, and seldom do actors always themselves only for the ore of laughter. In this case, it really works. Every actor in the film playing a satirical version of himself. Seth Rogen is a pothead, Danny McBride crawling, James Franco is a poser, fake man Jonah Hill, Jay Sublime is one shy and token black friend Craig Robinson. They play stereotypes to their advantage, and the fact that they are aware make room for even more fun. This is true for the rest of the cast of comedy cameos, all except for Michael Cera. A kind of funny surprises with Michael Cera, but I dont want to destroy in this review. Not only does the film work as a comedy, surprisingly also serves as a horror film. There are plenty of exciting showdowns fears and jump wrong during the faux-apocalypse that will leave you on the edge of your seats with anticipation cackling with joy. There is not much I want to talk anymore, because a movie like this is better seen to be believed. What can I say? Sit back, relax and get ready to laugh your ass off.
