Review:
Ill state my credentials before: Im a girl. I've been reading X-Men comics in my past, but years already. I do not remember every detail of every relationship and back story, so Im not an expert on X-men. I LOVED the original X-Men movie and X2.I so excited when I heard they were making Wolverine movie. He and Gambit are my two favorite characters from the comics, and Wolverine is by far one of the best written and best acted characters in the X-Men franchise. I think this should be good! I count down the days until it comes out. And I went into the theater, and the exit was not disappointed, but not excited either. It's the middle of the road-movie, which seems to know what he wants to be. But I would say if you are going to see X-Men or serious crime fan.The Hugh Jackman in Wolverine is done in writing. I always say the authors dont get enough credit in a good movie. But no amount of good acting (quite a lot of people in Wolverine is doing well and what they're given) and directed only to cover bad posts like this. The script is all over the place. Does any of carefree yet edgy feel of the two X-Men films. Wolverines wisecracks and witty intelligence that is almost forgotten. It probably wouldve been fine if they had chosen to make Wolverine a dark, almost evil character that should be before he lost his memory. But they do not. He is neither good nor evil. Wolverine is ambivalent. Sort Emo Wolverine. Not about doing bad, but not really in it because it makes Feel Bad. Line nobody is really interesting or plot points either way. The authors do not seem to know how to develop the relationship between Wolverine and Sabertooth. A love story set in a studio just to satisfy our chicks are not going to watch a movie without a comic book? If so, our studio doing very bad, because if you want to do a story about Wolverine lover (which, hey, I'll go see it), this movie is not good. And I saw in the trailer that Gambit is in the movie too, I'm happy! Gambit in the film, finally! But here it is, retarded and confusing variety of Gambit. Could not he at least has his New Orleans accent? Cool card, but he most underutilized and not feel like that Gambit much.The movie does have some good time where you can really say, Yes! Im not putting a spoiler, so I will not tell you what they are, but for me, they make the movie worth seeing. While I would not put it anywhere on the list of worst movie, I would rank it with the X-Men and X2 in my favorites list, either.
