Review:
The Coen brothers are known for being one of the best filmmakers of our time. They both compliment each other perfectly. When I heard that they make another 1969 John Wayne classic True Grit, I was very excited and have high expectations for the film. Being a big fan of Western movies, was really interested in how I would go out. Scannána I was more faithful to the original source material, Charles Portis novel than the 1969 film. I was hopeful that Jeff Bridges would be the big shoes of the classic, legendary John Wayne filling too. I was hoping they would be confused with the original 1969 comedy film with some of the tension and excitement of earlier Coen brothers films like No Country for Old Men or ; Fargo. But not eliminate violent that it causes to stay fully recognized classic Charles Portis novel. After seeing the Coen Brothers new film, I must say. My very high expectations. The scannána was really surprised all the hype I had, what a great movie. The atmosphere, clothing, and buildings remind me of the old classic Hollywood westerns. I have a sense of nostalgia watching the movie at the end. I felt transported to a different era of the old West. Hailee Steinfeld was amazing in the film, I believe it was a performance to promote. Matt Damon and Josh Brolin were as usual amazing. But the real star of the scannána be Jeff Bridges, in every way (I dont mean to offend John Wayne or anything), I think Jeff Bridges did not post more better than John Wayne in portraying Rooster Cogburn. Performance showed much more experience, strength and power, the show was pretty much unforgettable. Jeff Bridges manually recreate the major role of Rooster Cogburn in the Coen brothers back-to-the-book remake. I like the Coen return to the Western genre, that Hollywood ignores so much of the last decade or so. I can not stress enough how much I recommend the movie to people.
