Review:
Much of the attraction for me was the Matrix special effects and action-packed scenes. But, on reflection, part of the appeal is also its philosophical and religious foundations ... When asked whether they were influenced by Buddhist ideas, the brothers Wachowski found unqualified Yes! and at the most basic level, the film shows the two levels of reality: our daily existence and deeper, more importantly, the fundamental reality (matrix). It is very similar to the two truths in Buddhism: the relative truth that all perception, and, finally, the truth, which is all really (objective reality). Because of our ignorance, we mistakenly everyday world for something real and objective, and that is the cause of our suffering. As a matrix, breaking through relative truth direct contact with the ultimate reality, the high spiritual realization, some would say enlightenment, awakening consciousness. (Do not forget to post on the computer screen Neos: I wake up, Neo) Mahayana Buddhism, shows that the great spiritual warriors (like Neo?), Which, going from ignorance to enlightenment, which in turn can lead us to the path.
